The CTI Digit and Nesting

The CTI Electronic Digitiser is a device designed to quickly scan paper, cardboard or plastic patterns. It automatically identifies holes, notches and the grains can identified on the pattern. It is also possible to associate the drawing with descriptions such as item name, model name, basic size, etc

The information can be saved in DXF-CAD format, this allows the pattern to be imported into the most popular CAD systems used in most industrial sectors. Its ease of use allows even unskilled users to digitise a template and speeds up the work of the experienced designer. The program takes a picture of the Digitiser board with the appropriate pattern or patterns, analyses them and then identifies the outline, holes, notches and grain arrows. Once completed the patterns can be modified to eliminate any distortion of the paper, carboard or plastic patterns that might have occurred over the many years of storage.  

To complete the software options, CTI have nesting software. Once the patterns are digitised, they need to be nested together to produce a lay marker, this is where CTI nesting software is required. Simply put in the material widths and number of digitised parts and press the button. The system does the rest producing a lay marker with the best material utilisation
