All Electric plate roll machines e-POwer MCE
The Davi MCE range of plate roll machines are of the 4-roll design, the range caters for plate thicknesses of approximately 2 mm up to 20 mm. Save energy, reduce the reliance on oil, and increase repeatability go e-POWER.
Extremely Accurate
High repeatability of accuracy can be guaranteed with the employment of the latest generation of actuators. When compared with a hydraulic system, the electric alternative has a much higher precision. An acceleration of productivity is a further benefit, as multiple axes are moved simultaneously. There are no hydraulics on the machines, so the maintenance of the e-POWER plate rolls is dramatically reduced.
Reduce energy costs
The energy consumption of the e-POWER MCE machine is significantly lower than its hydraulic counterpart. This can be compared to the same principle as the new electric vehicles start stop systems, virtually no power is required when in a stationary mode - saving electricity.

Rolling procedure of 4 roll plate technology
(1) Plate squaring is simple; the plate is pushed against the back roller. (2) The top and bottom rolls pinch the plate. (3) The plate is driven backwards. (4) The pre-bend is performed by the side roller. (5) The plate is driven forward. (6) The first side roller drops and the second side roller preforms the rolling. (7) The can is rolled. (8) The side rollers drop and the CAN is released.
Planetary Guides and Bearings
Davi were one of the first major manufacturers to employ and develop the Planetary Guide System. The MCE uses this legendary technology to increase the tightness of the CAN around the top roller ensuring the best result possible. The bearings for the rollers are also planetary design, preventing the shafts of the rollers being put under extreme force when forming sheet metal due to the crowning.
Options and Automation
All Davi plate roll machines can be retrofitted or built with different options. From side supports, overhead supports, cone rolling to full automation to name but a few. Full automated systems can lift the plate from a loading point, place the plate on to a conveyorized table, roll the product, and then eject the finished product at a desired location. The capabilities of machine are numerous, and can be fully automated with no intervention by the operator.
